lmhosts:

at (xp) c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\lmhosts.sam
add the ip+whatever_name_u_want. than at the ethernet
card properties click the import lmhosts. now there
is a new lmhosts made at the directory and u can ping
your new name at the same dir services file says
the well known port numbers
-netstat -n -p tcp
-a/ar -o
-nbtstat -R --> load into memory #PRE
-c --> shows what there is in memory.
