SBS 4.5: (build on NT4)
instalation:
u first must have the 3 1.44 diskets, choose search for mass storage (to detect
cdrom). some restarts. that put the first cd inside: sbs setup.install modem.
asks for outlook number, change default for 5 seconds.
sp6a.
install the driver for tape with scsi adapters from control panel.
install dhcp(delete the 10.0.0.1 and insert other scope with 50 addresses
between. add: 044 wins 0*8 ,003 router, 006 dns,045 netbios over tcp/ip
at the scope|active leases u c who got ip.
-~to send mail outside the domain: ping from the server. choose from to do list
:internet connection wizard.
at the services the exchange internet mail service will start!
go to exchange |connections properties |connection tab| e-mail domain botton|
add| org2.
-get pop mail to mailboxes:download popsetup.exe install it and u will have
pop3 connector at exchange |connectors. at exchange|recipients| mail address
tab|new internet address| add the real reply mail ind make that as default.
-install rip: network properties, protocol setup, tcp/ip properties, routing,
enable packet forwarding.
setup a modem: dial up networking, (I386)
go to network, services, remote access, properties, modem, continue, more, edit
entry, security tab, accepting authentication, dial ,user name.
modem: dial up networking, more ,security, accept any authentication including
clear text, dial name,password- do not put domain name.
ADSL:
network, properties,services,add remote access service, vpn1 ras pptpm ,
configure dial up only, protocol tag, add point to point tunneling protocol,
number of virtual private network (reboot).
at dialer: new, ras pptpm, accept any authentication and clear text.
ARCserv backup:
add a script for terminating a job:
sbs console|more tasks|arc serv manager|classic quick access tab| backup|from
