SBS2003:
-on server :make updates
-check that there are no FAT partitions or:convert d: /fs:ntfs
-at the HHH directory ive full permitions
-put logins script at:sysvol\sbsusers\scripts:
net time \\office /set /y
net use LPT1 \\office\hp
LPT1 /del
or user1\profile\login.bat
(at hosts put the server name + ip)
-check with ntbackup the the tape is connected
-add printers on the server with the wizard: add new
printer|create a port:ip of a net printer than put 3 additional
drivers:98+xp+2000 |take it out of the dhcp scope
-on stations check that dns is the sbs dns!
-at the station: ipconfig/flushdns /registerdns and check that
station is writen at the server DNS. put also forwarders at the servers
-on 98 computers install dsclient !
-changing the domain at station:change into workgroup |with the
old admin password! (paris*2000)
enter the station with Local administrator
go to change network ID with the wizard |choose domain:
smallbusiness with admin | that choose the domain user:
sigalalon then ~ Administrator!
-restore a local desktop:
enter with Local administrator | regedit:
Local machine\software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current Version\Profile list
copy: droraAlon.alonRehab (the old domain)
find the proper key of the new domain and copy there the key of
the old domain than logout.
-install shadow copy client(properties: previous versions)
-~exchange profile: go to the previous registry key
\profile path\copy the old
1 to the new 1,logof
with ost2pst change the offline mail
connect to the sbs new exchange|import the pst file -->goes to the server
