-all the station clocks must be synchronized between them! (otherwize u get
different appointments at the calenders) also at the clock on the toolbar remove
daylight savings changes
-import all data u want from another pst file
-to share inbox,calender atc:
to c another persons folders u need to add him:
u can add at control panel|mail|more settings|advanced tab|offline folders|
ther u define where to put offline folders.if there is no outlook.pst, it
generates a db & syncronize it with exchange server.
go to mailbox sima|right click|properties|permitions tab|add ilan as editor
go to mailbox sima|contacts|right click|properties|permitions tab|add ilan as
editor-so he can view simas contacts
now go to the ilans outlook,right click, open directory of another user-sima
if the calender isnt added automaticaly to the right pane u should open:tools,
mail accounts, exchange, more settings, advanced, add the account u want to c.
-for working at offline:tools|send receive settings|define send receive groups|
check:outlook xp: preform an automatic send receive when exiting. push botton
edit:select all mailboxes, select :download offline address book. (all that u
change while u r online or offline will be changed after a few seconds.
for outlook 2000:tools|synchronize|~difine offline folder. before u exit u may
synchronize manualy. when u enter at offline push F9 to refresh.
at settings|control panel|mail|exchange server properties|more options|general
tab|manualy control connection state+choose connection type when starting- to
choose whether u r connected or not.
*err: if u installed ts on the server for client access u canot add offline
folder on the server!
-send mail from exchange outside the domain:
check that u can ping yahoo.com or configure through to do|internaet connection
wizard|with dns.
change the reply to address:at administrative console|backoffice manager|users|
ilan properties|email address tab|new smtp|ok|than push botton:set as primary|
than refresh.unselect "automatically update ..policy"-otherwize the default mail
might go back to the local-non dns name and will be send like that!
(u do not need to add connector for smtp to send mail outside but follow these
steps: create a detination set:
-get mail from pop3 account of the isp:
ping yahoo.com from the server
at the exchange tree|connectors|add pop3 connector|at the properties|
user mail
box add the isp pop3 dns name+username+password+ exchange user.
highlight ORG1 (exchange) than on the right pane click synchronize mail &
check the log.
if the connector is not installed go to add\remove progs|sbs2000|next next|
connectivity|pop3 connector.
for fidback check at the event viewer |application log
errors might be 11002 that u didnt have gateway or dns configured properly
-make public folders to c them at mail To:
drag with right click the contacts u want to public folder, give it permitions,
if u have office 2000 u need to install outlook address book at control panel
mail. if u didnt install it the properties of contacts|outlook address book
tab will be gray!
